Our story
Vasilopoulos House
Small and warm Vasilopoulos House consists of 7 apartments that share the same courtyard. They used to be the rooms of a house serving different functions such bakery, cellar, bedroom etc and they have been carefully transformed into self-catering apartments under the Guidance of Cyprus Tourism Organisation in 2000.All rooms are unique and they have kept their unique interior architecture according to their function
The house has a big common veranda which is shaded by a vine tree and our guests can freely pick fresh grapes when they mature. The view from the veranda is very graphic, overlooking the stone-built church.
The house is ideal for people looking for a cultural holiday , to get to know the beauty and traditions of our island Cyprus. The village is in a perfect position for exploring the island. It is about 30 minutes to the towns of Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaca and about 1 hour to Paphos , Agia Napa and Troodos mountain.
Most of our guests prefer to stay for the whole of their holidays and travel around with a rented car. Generally, our House is a place for experiencing culture, tranquility, inspiration and magic.
The owner
Michalis Vasilopoulos
The owner of the house is Michalis Vasilopoulos .The house was the Place he was born in. It was sold twice before Michalis bought it back and transformed it into this welcoming Guesthouse.
Michalis is renown for his hospitality. As he says: ‘I usually welcome guests and I goodbye friends’ Most guests staying for 3 nights or more get the chance to be toured by Michalis to his garden to pick fresh fruits. If not, usually they find a basket of fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables outside their room. This is an experience most guests treasure and this can be seen from the testimonials below.
